Howdy peeps. So I've been gaming consistently on this rig and it hasn't given me any problems whatsoever.

However since today, when I load up war thunder I get wicked graphics lag and stuttering.

I turned on my speccy monitor and found my CPU (Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40GHz) is spiking in temp pretty bad.

It runs without load around 30c and was spiking in game up to 70c.

I also noticed my graphics card is running the same temp variations. e.g 30-70

I'm no expert by any means, hell I struggled to put this thing together myself but I just need advice whether this is a normal temperature range to experience with/without load.

Like I said, was running fine yesterday, but I wasn't monitoring temps then.

Other info might be usefull :
Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40GHz
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. H87M-D3H (SOCKET 0)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (EVGA)

Thanks

Yeah opened her up and saw a bit of dust but have given that a good clean out now. First boot after cleaning out it crashed on windows loading screen but 2nd one has been successful, will see where it goes from here. I get the feeling something is about to give up the goose

have a look at a good aircooler for the cpu, most of the stock fans are serviceable but depending on the heat buildup in the case can be inadequate and there usually not very good for overclocking.

ive only got a cheap zalman one in mine and its much better
