Question Intel DH87RL motherboard

I have an Intel DH87RL motherboard. According the specs, the onboard SSD slot is PCIe. I want to buy an NVME SSD and I need to know if this MB will be able to recognise this. I currently have an unbranded mSATA (128Gb) SSD in the slot, but it is slowly dying and no longer able to be used as a boot drive. I don't want to spend money on an NVME if the MB does not support it as a boot drive. Any assistance will be appreciated.

That motherboard doesn't support NVME.
