lately has been getting to tmps like 48 core0,,,and 44 core1,,,,is this getting too hot? its a used cpu

When Temps hit 70+ in Celsius. Your CPU is cool.

Wrong cpu, it's core 2 duo not pentium. Also that's tcase. http://ark.intel.com/products/27251/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-E6700-4M-Cache-2_66-ghz-1066-mhz-fsb

So max temp is actually 60C. Oooops

Damn Intel and their stupid naming schemes. I was in a hurry and just saw the E6700 part.

that temp is perfectly acceptable. Just wondering if those temps are at Idle, or full load?

My e6400 constantly goes to 65c and it's on its 7th year running now.

My C2D E6600 runs at about 40C, however I have a heatsink weighing in at 755g on it. That's about 1.66lbs.
