i have a Intel Pentium G620 2.6GHz Dual-Core Processor ,i want to instal a readon 6850 hd ,will it perform well for gaming

Actually the 7770 is better than the 6850 - the only thing is the 6850 is better for AA. I wouldn't get the 6850, I'd buy the 7770 - much more power efficient, just as good, and it's affordable.

I can't believe how often this comes up and people just spout incorrect facts.

Do we believe Tom's charts?

The first 3 I looked at, I'm sure all the rest show the same pattern. I've never seen a chart with the 7770 outperforming the 6850, although I assume there must be some cases.

stock 6850 first followed by stock 7770.

The 6850 is quicker. No argument. But not by a huge amount, and the 7770 is much more energy efficient. So it depends whether better energy efficiency is more important than a few more fps.

As stated by SteveH3671, the Radeon HD 6850 is overall a little faster, but it also consumes more power. Below are summary charts backing up that claim from Techpowerup. Note that the overclocked Sapphire HD 7770 Vapor-X does match the performance of the Radon HD 6850.
