hello, so im building a pc with a 1366 motherboard and i was looking at the board and the manual (intel dx58so) and there are two auxiliary power connectors, one in the form of 4 pin power connector, and one in the form of a sata power connector. these connections are labeled in the manuals diagram, but not mentioned anywhere else in the manual. with further investigation online, I believe it is used to power cards over 75 watts ( im not exactly sure though) and with this board I plan to power a r9 290 which uses an 8 pin connector and 6 pin connector directly from the power supply. my question is, do i have to use either of these power connectors on the board if im powering it directly from the power supply? and the card should still receive the 75 watts from the board? before I go and run the card with or without and end up screwing something up. thanks.
