With the performance crown in hand and a scary paper champion upon the horizon... intel fans all over the web are happier thana sissy with a bag of dicks.

But now its getting to a point where INTELLIOTs think AMD is dead... Hammer is a joke... Nothing can beat INTEL in anything.

I hope 64 BIT XP on hammers dont catch on... lot of suicide jumpers would leap from bridges with northwoods pressed to they hearts...

I don't quite get it, but people around this forum have been getting strangely crazy lately. First, there was this guy saying Intel got destroyed by AMD, and then there's this one...

Crazy...

You mean back in the days when people were picking on me for having a PIII processor and the only way to make friends was to buy an Athlon?

Watts mean squat if you don't have quality!

I don't realise how being here longer than someone else can make you superior to them.

Lets all take our time sit down and imagine what Intel will do if they take over the market which they are trying to do of course(brutally). Imagine that Intel was left alone.
Now the first thing they will probably do is eliminate x86 on the desktop market.

They will throw out the p4 and they're up coming roadmaps and give us all Itanium to run on. Telling us it is the next best thing so that we may throw away our old software(Billion of investment gone) and buy ourself new itanium's. Overclocking will not exist anymore as intel plans to remove BIOS and such other option in the future(see the inquirer).

Intel will not need 3rd party sites like THG backing them up, because what have they got to lose? No compitition. No more benchmarking. No more fast releases. Maybe benchmarking once in a while is possible... a 200Mhz upgrade on the IT2 after a year. Then intel will tell us to build new software for them. That will require us to buy a compiler from them..that will cost a programmer 30000$ after purchasing at least the cheapest itanium system.

Then we will see PDA,Notebooks and all other devices like mobile phone with intel logo's on them. The intel will tell you what best for your future. As at now they recently bought an internet service provider in isreal. Claming that now the future is optical as they have already pushed the market to ISOlise wireless lan(802.g+). And then intel fan's will bow down to Intel like dog's :X...

If I had a hammer...
I'd process in the evening...
I'd process in the morning...
All over this land...

Get your own sig!!!

Dude you are out of your mind. Even if Intel wanted to take over the world like you think they will, they can't. For the 32bit arena, they only have one serious company they have to compete with, which is AMD. But in 64bit arena, it's a whole new ball game. They have IBM and SUN and some other MIPS processors that they would have to compete with.

So please come down. I think intel is probably more scared of removing AMD then you are. If AMD goes away intel will be faced with lots of antitrust lawsuits like MS faced. So I don't think AMD will ever go away.

I don't really see what the big deal is. Between two competitors one must always be ahead such as Nvidia and ATI. It doesn't actually matter whose product you buy because you will get a very good product and your computer will work fine. The same could easily be said for processors from Intel and AMD.

Sad to say nVidia's products lately DON'T work well all the time and may not make your computer work AS well.
