Do I need to update my Mobo's Intel Graphics Accelerator Driver if I have a GPU?

Correct. Most motherboards will automatically disable the integrated graphics if a stand alone GPU is present. The integrated GPU will likely be much much slower than the stand alone card anyways so theres not much reason to use it.
