Hi,

I've had to remove my graphics card and use the IGFX due to having to RMA my psu and had to use a low wattage one. However this IGFX performs really poorly.. I looked up fps for black ops 2 is around 50-60 on low - med settings. I get about 15 fps on lowest possible. Even online games get around 40fps - I've tried reinstalling the driver twice nothing changed. If anyone can provide some insight into this that'd be great.

Thanks!

i don't see anything wrong with your configuration and your settings. Try putting your cpu speed on stock, and check again.

What RAM speed do you have? IGPs depend heavily on your RAM speed since they have zero dedicated VRAM.

i5-4670k cpu
Gigabyte H87n-wifi mobo
4gb ram
420 watt psu (all the business gave me as a loan for my 650)
1920x1080 res

1600 mhz ram

things affecting your gameplay can be your resolution, stock clocks of your cpu, MSAA settings in the game settings and current RAM speeds.
You have H87 series motherboard which can't overclock your cpu that has unlocked multipliers. One thing for sure that you haven't overclocked your processor. Thing you can check in your game settings is MSAA level, make sure it is to the lowest point. Also, go into bios and check if you are using XMP Profile. There is nothing else you can do.

Yup in black ops 2 everything turned down still about 15fps on 1080 and 20ish fps on 800x600
In browser games I play everything is turned down and it still lags really badly. What I don't understand is seeing these fps rates that everyone else gets for their hd 4600 and I only get about 1/4 of that which is really frustrating as getting my psu back make take a month or more.
I wouldn't buy a K cpu if I couldn't :)

I'm sorry, I can't see anything wrong with your stats. You might want to check out some intel specific forums and see if you find more help there.

Thanks for your help (and actually replying, lol) I will head to the intel forums seeking answers now :)

Solution

I've done that twice this week and once when I didn't have my gpu makes no difference oc'd or not even underclocked doesnt slow it or make it faster. I accidentally clicked best solution but it doesnt matter

i think you have tried almost everything whatever we could offer. What is the software you are using to check the FPS during your gaming? Some software tend to decrease your frames with half of what they are offer you in that software.

Yeah I don't tend to post on forums till i'm completely out of ideas :)
The browser game you can see with bad graphics is inbuilt to the game else I use rivatuner stats server or draw_FPS in console. It's definitely about what it says its running super slow (coming from a gtx780) its really noticeable.

yeah definitely, one would feel huge amount of the difference coming from such high end gpu. I am completely out of ideas now. Though one last suggestion, don't know why i am saying it but just clear CMOS for the last step to clear out any dedicated gpu reserved settings. I am sorry though, if this also doesn't work out. Last option is to wait for your component to reach you, so you can jump into gaming again. Good luck :)

Thanks, sorry for late reply. I have tried that too now and no result, hopefully the shop gets back to me sometime soon (grr) @ Presler I have tried all no result, guess i'll just have to wait :)

yeah best is to wait, good luck for the better future :)
