Hey guys. Iv read a few articles about how cpu s can bottleneck our modern high end graphics cards. Like the gtx 1070 or 1080. What type of intel processor should we have to not experrience this problem. Does i5 2500k does the job ?

I think that was a typo, anyways, an i5 2500k when overclocked is still a decent performing processor to this date. However pairing it with a 1070 or 1080 isnt a very good idea. I would say a GTX 1060 6GB would be a very good option, you may actually be enough for GTX 1070 if it is overclocked high enough.

Hahaha . My Bad.... That was a typo lol. Yes the I5 2500K is an old processor but can be overclocked to be a pretty good gaming CPU. IT will bottleneck the GTX 1070 but for how old it is. It's kicking some serious butt

If i overclock it is still bottleneck it is it?

Thanks for the reply. In this case i wont touch the i5 2500k for now.
Can i get a proper i7 for my 1150 socket theese days ? As my motherboard is 7 yers old nearly?
Cheers guys

if its an 1150 socket then you should be looking for a 4670k, 4690k, 4770k, 4790k...or any other variation of "4XXX" core i5 or i7.

if it's an 1155 socket then you're looking at 2nd and 3rd gen i5s or i7s. (3570k, 3770k, 2600k, 2700k etc)
