Hello everyone.
I work at an IT disposal company so I mostly get PC parts for free or paid. I got a GTX 1070 for free during my 2 weeks working here. I recently bought a Xeon E3-1246 v3 processor from the HP computer.
I have a gaming rig with the following specs:
Intel i5-4590 @ 3.30GHz
GeForce GTX 1070 8GB
16.00 GB DDR3
Windows 10
500GB SSD(For my OS)
2x 1TB HDD (all my files, games, and backups)
My purpose is not only for gaming, but I want to be able to video edit, run 3d programs for software development. Both processes take my mobo which has an LGA 1150 chipset. Is it wise to swap processors? If I do switch to the Xeon, should I get a better fan?
