intel I5-6600k or intel i7 6700k for GAMES

I plan to buy my new pc.
But I have a limited budget.

I am in doubt if I buy an intel I5-6600k or intel i7 6700k

I have
-> board asus rog hero viii
-> GTX 1060 OR GTX 1070

Only for 1080p games

What would be the smart purchase?

GTX1060 : Fhd
GTX1060 Heavily Overclocked : Fhd + VR
GTX1070 : Fhd + VR
GTX1070 : Qhd
GTX1070 Heavily Overclocked : Qhd + VR
GTX1080 : Qhd + VR
GTX1080 : Uhd/4k

For Fhd Gaming U Dont Need i7. Even Cpu Intensive Games Like Witcher III And Ac Unity And Bf1 Will Give U 60Fps With i5 6600k . Although Its overclockable So As U Want U Save Ur Money And Affording i5 6600k

What Hz screen will you use? For 60Hz/fps the 6600k is plenty bit for 100+ fps for a 144Hz monitor then the i7 6700k can give material gains in some newer games and looks like the trend will continue.

60Hz 1080p? GTX 1060 you're ready.

1080p with higher refresh rate than 60hz or 1440p: GTX 1070.

Just one game is really CPU intensive which, at today, an i7 is plenty recommended to use, and that game es Battlefield 1. I think in the future it will be fixed, but at today, with an i5, you're ready to play any game.

Resolution makes no difference to the CPU load. If a 6600k is good for 60 fps @ 1080p its good for 60fps @ 4k. Obviously you need a strong enough GPU
