[SOLVED] Intel i5 8600K or Intel i5 9600K

Hello,

I have MSI Z370 SLI PLUS mobo and have to buy a new CPU.

I was planing to take 8600K and overclock it but since the 9600K is available I was wondering which will be the right choice for overclocking.

Will be any issues with Z370 chip using 9th gen cpu when overclocking? I mean stability issues?

There will be no issues providing it has the latest BIOS for the 9th Gen CPU's...Both will do a good job on overclocking and will be very similar with just a bit more headroom on the 9600K...Personally if I had a choice and the price was not bad, then the 9600K...

I was able to get a 9600k for only £8($10) more than a 8600k. And with a soldered heat spreader, ill take that deal

I bought the 9600k and I'm waiting for the new ram. Then will see what results will be achieved with my Hyper 212X while choosing a water cooler.

Good job on getting the 8600K at a nice price....Do let us know how the 212 goes...
