Okay so while idle temperatures are around 45-48 c sometimes it's goes up to 55, and while playing Far Cry 4 it's around 66-68c.
I am little worried about idle temperature like 6 months ago it was around 32-35 if i remember well (not sure). I replaced thermal paste yesterday and I don't see any difference.

So what should I do , I have some money so I will think about buying a new cooler for it , any suggestions ?

you are also forgetting the burn in time for your thermal paste.also which thermy paste? i'm running a 4790k an after a week i was seeing a 5c drop in my idle temps which is nice. but low 40's no problem idle.i should ask whats your cooler? your case? i'm running a h100i gtx 240 cooler on quite mode with a haf x case monster Lots of room an big 200mm an 230mm fans lol im sitting at a nice25-27 idle but before it was in the 30's

Are you using the stock cooler, I assume? I wouldn't say that 45+ is ridiculous, though it is a bit warm. 6 months ago it was the end of winter. Are you in an air-conditioned room, or has your room temperature gone up with summer heat too?

Yes I am using the stock cooler , My rooom has an air-conditioning but I am never using it , temperature outside is like 30 C.

The screen shot is from desktop

Thermal paste is Arcctic MX-2 , it's a stock cooler , case is Thermaltake Urban s71 .

Well, if the temperature inside is also 30C, then there is at least part of your answer. Your inside temperature is probably closer to 20C in winter, if you're like most people. You can expect your CPU temperature to rise equal to air temp changes.

Well maybe you're right but I want to make sure that everything is fine , yesterday I played Skyrim for an hour and I felt a wierd smell coming out of my case and when I checked temperature was like 69C and that smell scared me . Normal idle should be around 35c i think and while gaming up to 60 , I'd be happy with that .

my suggestion depending on budget. an you wanna run cooler temps.ditch the stock cooler. on the cheap 25-30$ a hyper 212 evo air cooling if you got the clearance.(i ran one on my 4770k build with beatiful temps in a nzxt phantomh case for air cooled. If you got the room run a h100i gtx 119$ at micro center with 10$ rebate 109$ or any other 240mm watercooler. personally for the 279-330$ the 4790 costs they should toss you a hyper 212 for free.lol oh an i'm just running artic ceramique 2 for thermy paste.there are better an worse pastes but just seems to work for me.

Well, 69C with the stock cooler isn't cause for concern. In fact that's pretty low for a stock cooler. Weird smells are worth investigating, though.

For context, you won't actually damage the CPU until the temp is up over 100C.

Okay so I played The Witcher 3 for like 15 minutes now and the temps were around 65 C , Should I buy a hyper 212 evo , what's temp difference stock cooler vs hyper 212 evo ?

Well what's the difference between stock cooler and hyper 212 evo , I will buy hyper 212 evo if there is a big difference.

It doesn't sound like your temps are problematic in any way, so no I wouldn't bother picking up the EVO unless you want to reduce the amount of noise your computer is making. If so, the EVO isn't bad, but there are better options for silence like the GELID Tranquillo or something like that.

way better than that stock cooler im up here in new england 70-mid 80 here my 4770 was idling 30s with decent fan curve gaming in the 50's but also depends on fans an locations also sp fans in front if you have things in your way going into case like hhd's ect normally in front.an af fans exhausting.umm as far as those smell how much patste you use an how fresh under a week? pound for performance air the 212 evo! noctua NF 140's are nice but you bump into the 50$-60$range i'm not promo anything just telling you what ive used personally

Well I got some extra money and I want to be safe , I don't want to think about temperatures anymore so I will get new cooler for around 50$ , now the next problem is I live in Montenegro shitty little country (Country between Serbia and Croatia) and there is no cooler master stores , so I need worldwide shipping site to buy a new cooler.

Thanks !
