I want to find out which is better. From the specs, they seem the same. Is it worth the extra dollars?

I have both procs in running systems and can tell you either is a great choice. Love them both. The i7 6700k is a tad faster with both at stock, but it's pretty much a wash.

The biggest diff is the Z170A chipset which is superior to Z97.

If I was making a new build I'd go with the i7 6700k just for that reason alone.

Thanks! I think im going to go with the 4790K by the looks of it! The specs are identical, and overclocking is (apparently) even better on it!
Thanks a lot!
