I have msi h110m gaming and my cpu is intel pentium g4560.Its not good enought for my tasks (gaming+streaming) so I would like to upgrade to intel i7 7700k but can I put it on my motherboard and if I can which fan should I pu

You need a bios update to support the 7700K. Hyper 212 Evo, Noctua or all in one water cooler will do.

richiestang - I think you may be incorrect about the mobo bios update. The guy already has a g4560 installed. He should be able to download and install a bios update.

You're spot on on the i7-7700 though. An H110 mobo will not support overclocking.

Your motherboard will support the 7700k but as already stated you will not be able to overclock on your current motherboard.
You will how ever ofc have the slight added boost the 7700k have over the none (k) version.

Hi, I'm looking forward to the same upgrade. But, it's my consideration, the fact that whether these mobos can handle the 7700K without any hiccups. I have an ASUS H110M-A/m.2 with the above processor installed and looking forward to buy a used 7700K which is 50K Sri Lankan Rupees / nearly 280 US Dollars as of April 2019. But, I've seen people discussing about the lack of VRM modules and lack of power phases. Since motherboards with h110 chipsets are supposed to be "Entry Level and budget friendly", I was thinking the same. My question is,
*** Should I upgrade to a Z270 motherboard for a smooth and long running? Or, will the current H110 handle the processor adequately, even under heavy loads??
Thanks in advance!
