intel intergrated graphics card and external graphics card work together?

I have i5 3450 hd 2500 internal gpu and msi r9 270x will it work together and increase performance..??

no the integrated gpu will turn off as soon as it detects your 270x which s powerful

So no increase in performance(mobo are not designed on that way)
