Do K Intel processors have different temperatures than non-K ones? Are out there tests done using the same cooler? I am looking to buy an Intel i7 4790 and I don't really know if I should buy the K or non-K one (video editing). I suppose the K version has higher temperature since it is clocked at 4 GHz while the normal version is at 3.6 GHz.

The "k" only means it is unlocked for OC capability, only you can decide if you want to OC or not, so the temperature will be the same for both if you are not going to OC at all. I always get K because it is only a few more bucks for a feature you may need in the future.
