Intel, MasterCard Confirms Tap-To-Pay Tech for Ultrabooks

I can understand Intel using their NFC technology with other fields but this seems that it would not be the best security measure for ensuring that your credit card is safe. Now all they need to do is tap a device to make a payment . . .

I can see it now... "accidentally" tap someone's pocket with your ultrabook and yay! CC info to all your xmas shopping with. Or better yet, someone figures out a way to expand the field's range and camps out at a local hotspot pretending to browse the internet but is really taking everyone's CC info.

I'm sure Intel and MasterCard aren't smart at all. No. How could they do this?
