Hey guys. I'm planning to build a new gaming PC for next generation games. I am still confused between i5-4570/GTX 770 or FX-8350/R9 280x. We all know that next gen consoles the PS4 and XB1 both have 8 core AMD CPU. What do you think is a better system overall for gaming?

I'm kinda leaning towards the i5-4570/GTX770. I won't get the 4670 and 4670k since I won't be overclocking and the price difference in my country is high but the tempting price of FX-8350/R9 280x plus future Mantle support is what keeps me hanging. I've recently read about R9 280x artifacts issue on games so I don't know. I need you help guys.

+1 honestly if I could do it all over again I would have gotten a 3570k (the i5 that was out when I built my rig) and now I am waiting until Haswell-E and DDR4 to become more prevalent before I upgrade my system. Personally I would wait the month or two until Devil's Canyon comes out just for the minor improvements and the Z97 chipset.
I have the FX8350, and overclocked it to 4.6GHz, and it just isn't my cup of tea. So I'm going to Intel and picking up an i5 4670K. In my opinion, get the i5 and the GTX770, because Nvidia. 😀
