Hi Guys,

I'm currently using a A8 7600 with an R7 265 as my discrete card, my brother got his GT 730 dead as his psu's cord port is loose and once touched pc shuts down and because of that his card is dead, since G3260's igpu sucks and A8 does the job better at it, he wanted to swap with me. being a dual core, i'm a bit skeptical about the offer. but I''ve read intel G3258 is good in gaming even in stock clocks.

Question is, will I gain or lose performance if I take up G3260 + R7 265, btw we both have dual 4gb 1866 RAM

I'd say the a8 7600 is stronger, but these chips are very close in performance

Depends on the game. In something like Battlefield that's well-threaded and has a well-designed game engine, you'll be close to even. In some console ports that are not optimized to run on 2 cores, even if they're fast cores, you might get stuttering that wasn't there on the A8 and maybe lower framerates. In games that aren't well threaded, the Pentium can be 50-100% faster.
