Intel Pentium g4400 can it run modern games?

Hey guys i was going to buy a Intel Pentium g4400 CPU to do my first pc build and of course was planning to upgrade later to a new cpu. so i was wondering i heard that most games these days need 4 cores to run but i have seen videos on the internet new games running pretty decent with this cpu, so my question was, Do you need to do something in order to play these games on a dual core processor cpu?

Ah, but that's why they'll gladly sell you a i3-7350K this go-round. Without BCLK overclocking 😉

The HT pentiums are already up on intel's site,sales should start either tomorrow or at the beginning of the week although pentiums might start to be sold "a few weeks later" was the comment I believe.

Nope. According to Intel's site, they've priced the i3 right in the $168.00 - $179.00 range, whereas an a low-tier i5 should begin around $210 or so. Adjust accordingly for traditional sales prices. Right where it should be. 4.2 GHz base clock too.

Kinda mad I just bought a 6100 now, but at $99, it was a great deal for what we used it for.

Good choice. We gave my dad one for Christmas. He was like 'oh, an i3?'. Once put together, he came back an hour later and said "wow, this thing screams!"

...upgraded from a 1st gen Phenom 4-core that was really beginning to show its age.
