[citation][nom]someoneelse[/nom]when the nand only last 3,000 program/erase cycles why would you work with video on an SSD drive?[/citation]
exactly

i'll be including an SSD in my next build for Windows (7) and programs...

but as soon as i do i'll never copy stuff to and from the desktop due to the ludicrous costs per gygabyte and small drives... and drive "fatigue" (or whatever it is called).

i'll be more interested when a 1tb SSD costs less than $100 though.

What this doesn't show is how the SSD costs 3x as much... and that the SSD was full by the end of the video.

Really though, this is all fine and dandy, but the storage capacities and price still make this useless for anyone that stores more than 512gb of data that they actually use regularly. I have libraries of audio that are larger than that, not to mention the programs that run them. I'll tap out of space, and I'll be paying $600+ for it. Still not ready for prime time.

at around the 14 to 7 nm range is when that will happen... well... it will be priced about the same as pre flood hdd gbpd

How about making the same video about productivity in coding and compiling context.

This is one video i'd love to show my boss and our IT staff !

Lol at the slowcoaches on the right. Most of the peeps I've worked with wouldn't mind a slow computer as they can go to the toilet or sit talking as usual. In fact, they'd hate SSDs.

You'll have to write 10GB of data to it every freaking day for 5 years to wear it out.
