Hi, as you can see in the title I ran the "Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool" and got a fail at the Prime Number stage.
I decided to run this tool, because since last month my PC has shutdown randomly and when I open Event Viewer it gives me Kernel Error 41. I have run memtest with both of my RAM sticks connected without any errors. I'm now using only one stick of 8GB of RAM, and the PC seems more stable, but I have run memtest in each of the slots of the motherboard without any errors, except for the second slot that doesn't seem to work. I have checked temps and everything seems ok. I have changed the PSU.
My specs are:
i7-8700k
RX 580
16GB RAM (2x 8GB) (currently using only one stick)
2x SATA SSD
2x HDD
Tempest Gaming PSU X 750W
ASUS B360M-A
No crashes during gaming, only when using Discord or Opera.
I can't try the CPU onto another motherboard, i have spare RAM so I could try other sticks and have another PSU.
My question is if it is a CPU problem or it could be an issue with the Motherboard. Also if there is anything else to check.
