Question Intel security issues

How much do you think the fixing for security issues will decrease intel performance in the next 2-3 years. i read somewhere it could be around 20% which would be horrible. is there really a possibility to get that bad?

Performance of what...existing CPUs or future CPUs?
And how are they predicting 2-3 years in the future?

the 2-3 years was just my question because im currently building a new pc and im not sure if i should stick with the 9700k on a z390 or go with the 3700/3800x on x570.
the question is about current cpus like 8700k 9700k 9900k. nobody knows what future chip intel will make.

I recall hearing '20-30% performance hits' stuff well over 2 years ago...

And there were a few measurements (some storage benchmarks) that took substantial hits...

Post-OS patches, the hits were like <1% on average...if that...

so, do you think its just fear mongering and blown out of proportion? i have read so much the last days. like that there are gonna be more and more security flaws and because of that theres gonna be more and more performance issues after fixings.
dont know what i should believe anymore.

for "zombieload" yes. but who knows what security flaw is exposed next.
