Question Intel Serial IO Driver?

Helo,
Please forgive my newbness. I am not sure what the Intel Serial IO driver does and if I really need it. cable management in my new rig is all stuffed at the bottom so it's a real struggle to plug my dvd drive in to install motherboard drivers, so rather not install it if I don't need it.

Or you could just download them.

or buy a cheap dvd to usb drive and then you never have to worry about installing a dvd drive again.
