That is scary. The last thing I want is someone to be able to gain access to my information remotely when I'm not jacked in to the net. If this make it to desktops I'll happily switch to AMD cpus.

that said, a digital wallet is basilly accessing your bank, or creditcard info and passing it correct? i cant see how its much different than what we currently have (bank, creditcard)

Intel is clearly preparing for an onslaught of the mobile market. With Tri-Gate transistors and 22nm processes and beyond, and with the reorganization of the mobile division, they are really preparing for something big.

I also heard they are merging the lines of Core and Atom with Haswell so I think Core with get much more power efficient and Atom will get much more powerful. Can't wait!

If you have digital money it can be turned off with a remote SW command, if you paper money, only you know where it is kept and no-one can take it from you.

I agree, that's what makes it scary. I don't mind banks and the gov having access to my personal/financial info but I don't want it being broadcast to any object that I rub my notebook against. If they said Motorola was doing it I'd feel ok but not Intel, I just don't trust them.

This is a old fable used to illustrate that people won't notice change that occurs slowly. When it comes to frogs being boiled, it is simply not true.
