CHIPS act is disbursed based on milestones, and the dept that was in charge of monitoring progressing for milestone payments got DOGE-ed, so it's effectively neutered or significantly delayed due to low staff levels.

TSMC, Samsung, SMIC, etc... can all make leading edge nodes <14nm/16nms. Even if Intel fails at 18A, it's not the end of the world. Stop being so fantastical. If you can't compete, no amount of US govt funding and xenophobic fearmongering will save you if you are in incompetent like Intel.
Dismissing Intel outright ignores the complexities of the industry. While TSMC, Samsung, and SMIC have impressive capabilities, Intel's advancements, despite challenges, still shape the broader ecosystem.

Government incentives exist in many countries, not just the U.S., to maintain strategic industries. That’s not fearmongering......it’s economic policy. If Intel struggles with 18A, it will adapt, just as others have in the past. Writing them off prematurely doesn’t reflect the reality of how innovation and market dynamics work.

No need for sweeping conclusions......let’s keep the discussion grounded.

...but if one is an AMD Investor, a failed Intel is something to look forward to.
Short term thinking at its finest. A healthy Intel means a competitive industry, which benefits everyone.....AMD included. If Intel were to collapse, AMD wouldn't suddenly dominate, it would face new challenges, including higher costs, less innovation, and potentially more regulatory scrutiny.

Market dynamics aren’t that simple.

For some, it's easy to reduce this to a simple rivalry. But real investors understand the bigger picture.
