Question Intel uhd 630 no 60 hz on displayport 1.4 Solved

MSI Z370-A PRO motherboard manual said
1x DisplayPort port, supports a maximum resolution of 4096x2304@24Hz, 3840x2160@60Hz, 1920x1200@60Hz


Using a DP to HDMI converter the max setting is 30 HZ.
Can't make new resolution in Intel software, it said not supported.
Used this converter on rx 480, gtx 1070ti display port. i got 4k60hz.

Found relevant information now. rx480, 1070ti have DP 1.4, UHD have 1.2 only
converter is given a 1.2 signal so not allowing a 4k60 hz setting.
Don't have DP 4k capable display so i can't test.
Issue Must be the converter.

Make and model of your motherboard? BIOS version for said motherboard? Also, can you pass on a link to the cable you're working with? See if you're able to work with DP to DP cable and a DP ready display. If that option works then the issue is your cable/adapter.

Seems like you have a multitude of GPU's on your platform...or are you referring to individual cards in individual systems?

what the motherboard?
sound like the dp version on the motherboard is lower than the gpu

As far as I know DP 1.2 is also capable of 3840x2160 60Hz 10bpc RGP signal. So I'm less sure why it doesn't work, a quick google actually showed no option where dp to hdmi worked on 4k60hz on these intel igpus.
