Hi there!
I'm looking to upgrade my PC in the very near future and have created two builds that i would like to go with. Problem is I don't know which one to go for. I plan to use my build for gaming (AAA games like Battlefield 5 have the i5 6500 BELOW their minimum requirements) and light content creation. The two build are around the same price (£520) and have around the same specs but I don't know which one to choose.
Any help would be really appreciated! :)

Solution
since the new builds are currently close to the same price i'd go for the ryzen build since it has an extra 2 cores although i am not sure what tasks you mean by "content creation" so i'm not sure if the extra cores would matter

AAA Games like Battlefield 5 (which I want to play) have the i5 6500 under their minimum system requirements. Plus I want my PC to be more future-proof so I can continue to use it for a long time. Also I plan to get more into content creation and I feel that my current CPU does not cope very well with video editing and such. That's why I'm upgrading

As I said AAA Games like Battlefield 5 (which I want to play) have the i5 6500 under their minimum system requirements. Upgrading to the i7 6700 will not benefit me as these games also need more than 8GB of 2133Mhz RAM. Plus this build will not be very future-proof

a simple upgrade to a 6th or 7th gen i7 chip would still be good for future proofing. and it would be more costs effective too since your build would support both those CPU's
