Intel with amd cooler

Would it be okay to run an I7 7700k with an amd cooler just for a few days still my cool master evo comes in I'm selling my old build basically what I was thinking since you can't actually mount it to the board just put my computer on its side and have thermal paste and just have the cooler on top of it

Just use long zip ties and run them true holes on mother board they will keep cooler in place, you can do them in this way # so they will hold cooler without problem.I did same thing for my friend that had fx 8320 stock cooler on his q6600 in 2nd rig and it hold cooler for 2 months without problems before he replaced it with CM TX3.

Zip ties? Well what i did with my situation was to put the motherboard on the cooler, and it gave enough weigh tocompress the thing, only did i realize that zipties were a choice lol
