So i was going to buy a ram kit until i looked up the processor now i confused. So the I7 of that generation will support ram speeds up to like 3300 mhz but according to my googling this CPU will only support up to ddr4 2400 . Is that accurate/true ?

So if i bought say ddr4 3000 and just manually set it to 2400 it should work then..?
in theory.

for guaranteed compatibility you may want to only get a memory kit that is officially supported by the motherboard.
there will be a list on the motherboard manufacturer's product support page.

it's always possible that this board will also support an "overclocked" memory kit that could run at 3000, 3200, etc.
you would just have to manually input the values in the BIOS.
