[citation][nom]CaedenV[/nom]Windows, Adobe suite, Office, utilities, and browsers take ~30-40GB, which makes 60GB plenty large for the average person's system drive.I have a 60GB OCZ Solid 3 in my wife's system that is nearly 6mo old and have had no problems with it. ~~ Besides if OCZ was as bad as a few people say they were then they would not still sell like hot-cakes, and they would not have and overall 4 of 5 egg average on sites like newegg.com[/citation]
Agree, for a boot drive with apps, a 60~80GB SSD is large enough to handle it. We have some Windows7 notebooks running Apps and data on a single 80GB intel X25s.

Only the top in OCZs are worth buying and still I wouldn't buy them. OCZ sells a 120GB SSD for $100, which come with very slow performance and low reliability. I've worked with 2 PCs with OCZ... they were problematic (okay, 1 was user error) but I was NOT impressed with the complete lack of tools from OCZ. Compared to intel, which provides very useful tools for health and maintenance of the SSD.

I would not blink dropping $190~230 for an intel i320 or i520 drive. I'm guessing the i330 will be using SF.

[citation][nom]acoriano[/nom]Bargain? I dont get it.... SSD are all a rip-off, i dont care how fast or how cool they are, i will not buy one till they effectivly get bigger and cheaper.[/citation]
LOL... you are funny. Seriously! SSD is not a requirement... but an SSD is a great little device for making your system move faster. Can make an old computer feel new. Expensive? Not really.

Lets go back to 2002. The cost of a spanking new 120GB 7200RPM drive was about $270. Easily more expensive and much slooooower than a $160~220 SSD of today.

In 1986, I paid $280 for a 320k floppy drive that is bigger than my ThinkPad.

2000 - 20GB HD = $245
1998 - 5.0GB HD = $300
1996 - 1.6GB HD = $400
1989 - 40MB HD = $1200
1984 - 20MB HD = $3000

I actually still have a 25mb and a 50mb HD in my Amiga from 1992. I am house cleaning my OLD tech and tossing 18 Hard drives in a box to be recycled. Came across a 1.6 and 2.0GB Western Digitals... man they are Soooooooooo loud. Good times.

So no... $200 for a state of the art SSD that can boot Windows 7 in about 15seconds vs 60~100seconds is quite nice.
