News Intel's Iris Xe DG1 GPUs Are Finally Coming to Desktops, But OEM Only

Why would Intel nerf their desktop GPU? Reducing the number of EUs makes zero sense. There's a huge opportunity for Intel here if they can deliver.

Also, that cannot be an Asus GPU. Asus only makes triple slot, triple fan, monster GPUs. ;-)

Just s the article says, this is not the gaming GPU model so it doesn't have to be very powerful, this is just for OEMs to have something to put into systems without any graphics without having to pay big money for whatever AMD/Nvidia doesn't even have to offer right now.

So ... Intel have made a discrete GPU that seems to me to be the integrated GPU from their latest processors. Am I alone in thinking they have come up with a discrete GPU that will only ever realisticly be paired with an AMD Zen?
