Hello there! I just bought a PS4 and it's no surprise that I want to upgrade the tiny stock 500GB HDD. I've been looking into a particular drive that I think would work.

This is a Seagate Laptop STBD2000102 2TB SATA 6.0Gb/s 5400RPM 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive. Has anyone had experience in putting in this or a similar HDD in their PS4? I'd like to make sure I have the right sizes and specs before blowing $150+ on something that wont fit or might have compatibility problems.

Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks,

Hey jblanch173. From what I gather this drive perfectly fits the PS4 requirements for an HDD upgrade. The 2TB capacity is supported as well as the SATA III drives. Its form factor is 2.5" and its height is 9.5mm, so in terms of physical dimensions it fits as well.

Hope that helps.
