Yo wassup,
I'm currently rocking a 2080, i7 8700k OC to 5GHZ, 16gb DDR4 2400ghz.
Also on 2k 144hz monitor - so the FPS examples are in 1440p (OBS has a 1440p canvas, downscaled to 720p)
For eg. in Fortnite, with OBS CLOSED I can cap at around 500 FPS. With OBS
Open I generally get about 380 highs.
(Using GPU Encoder)
CPU / GPU generally around 60 / 30% usage, low temps (60's)
Heres the prob:
Game is hella smooth with OBS closed
As soon as I open OBS, even though frames are high, I get constant microstutter in game, as though playing on a 60fps monitor (not that bad but you get the vibe)
If I turn VSYNC on frames die, but the game is smooth like when OBS is closed. Problem is that with vsync on, my lows get under <100 which makes the game feel shiz in high load situations
So, anyone have ideas on why OBS is causing this wack microstutter, even though cpu / gpu usage is low, temps are fine, fps is always >200?
Cheeeers~
