Intermitten Video lag, what to check

Hello,

I am having an issue with a newly built computer. Im using intel I7, 8g of Gskill 1333 DDR3 Ram, Win7 64bit, Nvidia 460t GPU, and a 1000 watt PS, It seems to run ok when not playing a game however when I play COD Modern Warefar 2 it will lag every 30-45 seconds. Does it both in single player(offline) and online play. I have tried OC, I have swapped out GPU's as well as tried the other PCIE slot. I am unsure what to check at this point.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Edit the GPU is Nvida Geforce GTX550ti

What drivers do you have installed?

Well I checked Nvidia along with device manager and it shows GPU driver is up to date.

NVIDIA
Driver Version 8.17.12.6671

I have updated the Mobo drivers as well as BIOS. Still no change. I have also had a few sessions where I didnt see any lag....

Have you checked temps?

Maybe try the latest Beta drivers.

I have checked the temps, my CPU will reach around 49C. HD around 41C and GPU will hit about 41C as well.

I will give the Beta drivers a shot.

So far so good, I installed that and did a few campaign missions, not a single second of lag. I will do some multiplayer later but it appears to be working much better
