Hello! I bought a 1440p monitor brand new so I could use my 1080p monitor as a secondary one.
As soon as I set it all up everything was working I started playing some games on steam and on the 1440p monitor. However, every 3-5 minutes the monitor will just go black for about 2-3 seconds, doesn't say any error, the light stays on and the picture just comes back on like nothing happened.

I tried switching the games into 1080p again and everything works fine! I have an AMD system, updated all drivers and still the same issue. Both monitors are run through DP.

The CPU is a Ryzen 5600X and theGPU is an RX 6600 XT.

Try just the 1440p monitor alone, using whichever DP cable. If monitor blanks try the other DP cable. If monitor doesn't blank using the first cable then test the other. See if you can isolate one of the cables.

Could be a dodgy DP cable. Have had similar happened to me but this was at 144Hz with a 3m cable and it would flicker every minute or so. 1080p was fine, the cable wasn't made properly and couldn't handle the bandwidth.

Your psu though, running more load on gpu with multiple displays is concerning. Wouldn't be surprised if that was the reason. Stay away from units with 1~3yr warranty.

If you buy new psu, Seasonic, Superflower, Corsair, Thermaltake, Msi to name few. Every brand have their low - mid - high end models. Try go for Tier A, 10yr warranty. 650w would be ideal for that system currently with some headroom. Depending what your future upgrades may entail you might want to go for 750 or 850w.
