Hi,

It's that time of the year where i'm looking to upgrade my storage HDD's, I've been looking into a few different options though i have drawn a blank on what to buy.

What i'm looking for is a 3-5 year warranty with 3-5 TB storage. I'm using 2 Samsung SDD's for the OS and Gaming which are great though i'm looking for a large 3-5 TB drive for backing up files and work related projects.

Ideally I wish to get the best value for money though which has a good warranty/track record, and i'm happy to buy two 2 TB drives if it's more cost effective than buying a single 4/5 TB.

The three below are what I'm leaning towards...

I have heard Hitachi 3.5's are still being made by the same company and WD is making their 2.5's? is that true and is Hitachi deskstar the most reliable behind the WD black series?

any info which would help me decide on the best option for my needs would be greatly appreciated.

HGST/Hitachi are indeed pretty reliable ( https://www.backblaze.com/blog/hard-drive-reliability-update-september-2014/ ), I have four of them, two are getting on four years and not an issue ever.
