hi guys i have two networked PC first is running windows 7 and 2 is XP.files i shared from windows XP are accessible on windows 7 but files i shared from windows 7 are not accessible on XP only one folder which path is C:\Users\Public is accessible..please help me..i want to access all files that i shred different pleces..

Make sure both PCs have an account w/ the same username/password. Also, don't mix Windows 7 homegroups and XP simple file sharing. XP doesn’t support homegroups. Both Windows 7 and XP should be using simple file sharing to insure compatibility.

can you tell me how can i check that both PC have same account?

Go to Start->Run (XP) or Start->search box (Windows 7) and type "nusrmgr.cpl" (no quotes) and hit enter. It brings up user accounts. Either add or modify an account w/ the same name and password.
