Internet connection keeps dropping

I keep losing my internet connection. Usually it can be solved by disconnecting from the network and then reconnecting, but the connection drops every few minutes. It doesn't disconnect me from my modem, and my computer still shows a network connection, but my browser says that the dns address could not be found or something like that. I've tried updating my drivers, setting my ip and dns address, I've even reset my computer entirely, anyone have a solution?

may help if you disconnect your modem from the wall for 3-4 minutes at same time power down your pc and then power up modem and pc.hope it helps

I've already tried disconnecting the modem. Been having the issue for over a month, and it's just on my laptop.

the tric is that you power down both devices at the same time didnt make difference or not.other solution is when internet drops right click on the internet icon(right bottom)click trouble shoot problems

Powering down both at the same time did not work and I can't troubleshoot problems because my computer says there there isn't a problem with the network. I think once when I was able to do it, it said there was a problem with the ip configuration.

also, it's really inconsistent, it went the whole day without issues, but just starting acting up again.
