Internet connection stopped working / 'Date & Time" settings wrong.

Hello,

My Internet connection stopped working. The problem started when the Firefox browser stopped working; A prompt that basically said Firefox has crashed - An error reporting prompt followed. Interent Explorer also stopped working.

Yet, the rest of the computer functions are working fine e.g., Word Processing, Photo-editing application working normally.

Antother problem (possibly related) is that the 'Time and Date' displays were wrong e.g., teh date dispalyed Jan 1, 2002 and the time was four hours ahead of current time.

Is it possible to fix these problems without a clean system reload?

Just change the time to the correct one. Change it in the BIOS, if the BIOS ir correct, then change it in Windows.

Wrong date will cause issues as many security programs use the time/date as part of their checks.
