Question Internet Connectivity Issues

Hi, so not long after getting my PC put together I started having issues with internet connection, on bootup my PC, more often that not woudn't connect to the internet, despite the cable being connected properly at both ends and the wifi being fine, it was as if there was no way for it to connect. What has fixed it however is opening the BIOS UEFI settings on bootup first.

However I'd still have issues with the connection where, usually if I booted up an online game or started streaming, the connection would sporadically break, this usually got fixed either by unplugging the Ethernet cable from the PC and plugging it back in, or restarting the router, though these did not always work and sometimes I'd just have to wait for it to decide to work properly. It's been very obstructive.

Initially I thought it was bad Wifi, I'd not long changed providers, but the wifi was fine, just the PC, I've updated the Motherboards drivers and checked to see if I can update the network drivers in device manager, but they're up to date. today I found a command prompt on Reddit that had fixed a lot of Wifi connectivity woes and tried it, but still didn't fix it (will post below)

Anyone got any ideas as to what the problem is and how to fix it? I'll post PC parts in case its a power supply issue though I've upgraded several parts over the years and haven't noticed any change in frequency of the problems

Thanks.

Commands
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
netsh winsock reset (restarted the computer after completing this command.)

Do you have both wired and wireless network adapters enabled at the same time? Only one network adapter (be it wired or wireless) should be enabled for most users.

Run "ipconfig /all" via the Command Prompt. Post the full results.

You should be able to copy and paste the results without needing to retype anything.

Also: make and model - modem, router, or modem/router (if combined).

My Router is from BT, Halo 3, not sure if thats what you're asking.

And I don't have a wireless adapter built in as far as I'm aware, I did get one to plug into the PC but it was kind of poor so switched to wired, and its disconnected.

I've uninstalled the driver and utility for the Wireless usb adapter so hoping that works

Ensure that only one network adapter either wired or wireless is enabled.

Not both at the same time.

The results of "ipconfig /all"indicate a wired connection. However, the results appear incomplete.

Did you configure that?

Things to try:

- Disable IPv6

- Change the DNS Servers to Google at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
