Question Internet cuts randomly for 5-10 seconds then comes back

I've been facing this issue for the past week or so. This is happening on very random intervals like it can happen multiple times a day or none at all.

I cannot notice this issue at all unless i am gaming in which case my game freezes and comes back (i am not getting kicked out) The PC still recognizes it as if i am still receiving internet. Upon trying to open a website during this time it'll show an error message "DNS server cannot be reached"

Debug log on the router has the following lines after every incident:

Tried resetting the router and changing DNS to no avail.

Could this just be an issue on the ISP's end? I really am not very good when it comes to resolving networking issues and don't even have a clue on where to start troubleshooting if there is something that can be done and it is indeed an issue on my end.

All depends on what ETH port 4 means.

I am going to guess you have some kind of modem or fiber termination box that the router wan port plugs into ?

If this is the wan port I would try the simple thing first. Try a new ethernet cable. You need nothing special cat5e is fine but be sure it is not one of the flat cables. Those have wires that are below the minimum size in the specifications for a ethernet cable.

Do you know if the box that the ISP wire/fiber comes into is having some kind of issue. Does it appear to reboot or do the lights change. maybe there is a issue with the internet connection coming to your house.

This is going to be tricky to catch since it appears to only go down for a few seconds each time.

If ETH port 4 goes to your PC you would try a new cable there first. I suspect it is not going to your pc. You generally get a message if the ethernet port on the pc goes down. I guess if you are fast enough you might be able to test with your phone when you get a failure. If it is the WAN port both the pc and the phone would have issues at the same time.
