internet disconnecting when phone rings. help?

So basically whenever I have phone calls coming in and i'm playing a game , my internet drops and goes through a reconnecting phase. My phone operates at a frequency of 2.4ghz and my router has the 5ghz and 2.4ghz setting. I tried disabling the 2.4ghz frequency and just have the 5ghz frequency enabled but i had issues with my connection not working and the icon for the signal strength showing 2 out of 5 bars. I have a ASUS PCE-AC56 802.11ac Dual-band Wireless-AC1300 PCI-E Adapter that operates at 2.4ghz and 5 ghz according to the box. My phone connection is through my isp but i didn't have this problem with my old wifi adapter.

If you are installing and adsl modem/router you need to use adsl filters on all the phone outlets. See https://www.accesscomms.com.au/reference/adsl_filter.htm

It's due to the adsl filter. Check if you have one. It's a small box that splits the cable into 2 different outputs. One goes to your modem and the other to your phone.
