Let's face it, IE sucks. I can't even use it anymore. When you compare the speed of Chrome there is just no going back, even if Chrome lacks some features of IE.

They really need to write an article, in layman's terms, as to why those in the IT profession despise IE, and the benefits of using something else.

I'll tell you exactly why IT hates IE: because most IT departments have to struggle with getting IE8 to work since their companies refuse to let them upgrade out of some misguided desire for backwards compatibility.

IE9 was mostly decent and IE10 was pretty darn good. I've consistently had issues with their Tracking Protection but on the whole they are pretty stable browsers.

But most IT departments can't put those browsers on their company's computers and if they can, they have to figure out how to make old software that was written for IE6 work.

"LOL.. its all very fashionable and "cool" to mock IE.."

No, it's not "fashionable" to mock IE, it's just shit you would know about, if you ever tried to wrote CSS to make a webpage compatible with it. Fortunately it's way past being a standard itself. And fortunately it pushed MS's asses to be more careful about the real standards.
I see MS marketing team swiped out comments on this article too /as they do often lately/... As it could help. It would help if IE wasn't really crap, but just clicking pluses and minuses - do you really believe you'll change somebody's opinion /and not just enrage the public/?
And what is coming will bite even more of MS's asses /no matter how many pluses and minuses their "social marketers" push/. :)
