Greetings. I just bought a EDUP wireless usb adapter from Amazon and I was surprised by the results. When downloading CSGO, it was downloading at speeds from 500 bytes per second up to 100kb per second. The Amazon page stated 300mbps, and i was obviously not getting that. What is the problem?

There can be plenty of factors. First off, what is your ISP speed. Just because a router can deliver 300mbps, doesn't mean you can hit that. Most of the time that's for local transfers. Also there is a different between bytes and bits. If you see bits, just divide by 8, and that's your true speed. So 300 megaBITS per second (what Amazon said) is really 37.5 megaBYTES per second. Doesn't sound like much, but that's pretty fast, trust me.

Also, go to speedof.me and test out your speed there. Is anything else connect to the adapter?

I don't know how to check ISP speed, no idea what that is either. I didnt think the difference of bytes and bits was that high, i thought it was very low, something like a .024x difference, for example 1GB = 1000MB/1024MB. I originally posted this the day after I got this. I think it may've been an unlucky day at that time. I still do experience low download speeds, such as 10kbps on utorrent and sometimes even 1000+ ping on csgo. I unplug and reconnect my adapter and the speeds usually picks up to usually 1-3mbps, even reaching 4 or 5 once. Is there a reason for this? Right now, the speedof.me showed the following:
Download Speed: 51.73 Mbps
Upload Speed: 14.98 Mbps
Latency: 13ms
