Internet goes out everyday at the same time.

For the past 2 weeks, out of no where my internet has been going out at the same exact time every day at 12:02 am. I've tried everything I can think of to fix it by unplugging it and plugging my modem back in, resetting to default settings, and so on. Nothing seems to work and I can't find a solution anywhere and it's been annoying me. Any suggestions on fixing this would be helpful.

Suggestion: Change the Windows clock by a few hours earlier and disable the internet clock syncronization so it doesn't change automatically back to the real time.

A) If the internet connection cuts-out at the same 12:02 am real time; It may indicate external causes.

1. Ask your ISP for assistance.
2. Try to determine if you are experiencing DNS Hijacking.


B) If the Internet disconnection happens at 12:02 am on the Windows clock

1. Scan for virus and malware,
2. Software solutions DNS Hijacking trojan removal

Do you have a central heating boiler that cuts in at that time? It may be sending a spike through the mains and upsetting your modem/router. Do you have it (the modem) plugged via a conditioner/surge suppressor?

Just a long shot, made even longer by your resetting of the router, but some routers have scheduling settings that permit operations only at certain times. Check your router's admin pages for the settings.
