[SOLVED] Internet has micro stutters ?

Hello,
My problem is that I get micro stutters in my internet when playing games. These micro stutters are so small that they will disconnect you from whatever game you are playing, but if you are watching a show or stream there it is small enough to not interfere with it. This stutter seems to only affect one pc at a time since I can be playing something and get kicked off, but my girlfriend does not. It will not effect voice call such as discord as well.

So far to try and fix this I have tried:

  • port forwarding for the games I play, this did not work.
  • upgrading modem to be able to handle faster speeds, this did not work.
  • firmware reset router to see if there was a client side issue, this did not work.
The only thing I have not done is call my ISP to see if they see any stutters. We are connected to Ethernet so there should not be any issues with WIFI.
Please let me know if you have any ideas, I can provide you with specs on router and modem, but I do not think they are the problem since they are significantly better than the speeds we recieve.

Solution
Games unlike most other internet traffic do not tolerate any packet loss or large spikes in the latency. Other application can use buffers to hide this until it gets very bad.

Open a cmd window and leave a constant ping to some IP like 8.8.8.8 run in a back ground window. When you see issues in the game tab over to this window and see if you see a corresponding issue. You are looking for packet loss or very high ping spikes....like much more than 100-200ms extra not just small variations.
