Hello, I’m new here. I found this website from searching google for internet issues. I was wondering if someone could possibly help me out a little, I have had 2 ISP’s in the last 6 months. My first was Spectrum, everything was fine for a month or so and then I started to run into internet issues, with my internet cutting out about every 10 minutes or so, but it wouldn’t do it consistently as in every day. It would completely lose connection to every device and reset itself, wireless and hard wired. I tried changing DNS Servers, changing channels that it connected to etc etc, then I thought a switch in companies would do the trick so I switch to WOW! Worked fine for a few days but I’m running into the same issue. Could anyone possibly help me out? Please and thank you! Router and modem are in the living room , I live in a 1 floor home, pretty small. If that helps any. Thank you.

Edit - I’m running with a Technicolor TC4400-AM with an EERO PRO.

Solution
I’ve connected directly to the modem and the EERO but the same issues are happening. I’m thinking it may be the splitters being used ? Been searching for hours a day for a week straight and I’m not finding any solutions.
If you are having the same issue while hard wired (Ethernet) to the modem then the issue is related to wiring.
Both cable providers (Spectrum & WOW ) are using the same wires to bring Internet service.

Could Replacing splitters and/or a cat5 cable help ? Or is that more of a myth that those cause issues ? Lol
There could be a loose connection somewhere in your property or outside.
Faulty splitters might cause low Internet speeds, there shouldn't be intermittent issue, unless a cable is connect to it is...
No, it was Spectrums modem and then I got WOW’s modem.

If you are able, connect the main coax cable directly to the back of the modem (no splitters).
If the issue happens and the modem looses Internet connection then your provider needs to look into that.
If the issue only happens when the coax cable is splitted, then it could be a cable or a splitter.

awesome, will contact them because I believe WOW used the same internet line as Spectrum installed. Will get that changed ASAP. You also explained it perfectly so thank you guys a ton.
