I recently built a new PC, and ever since I started gaming on it I have been getting sporadic bursts of massive lag/stuttering/eventual disconnects. When I first booted up the computer I had to download the drivers for my new motherboard and install them. So far I've only figured out how to install the Ethernet driver, which is fine as that's what I use anyway, but I'm still having the disconnect and stuttering issue.
I have COX internet, which is notoriously bad, but I know its not them because my modem says the internet should be working fine.
The modem is a Cox's rented modem which just says Panoramic on it.
My motherboard is an ASUS Z-490
The issue(s) I'm trying to resolve is primarily to fix the stuttering and disconnects, and secondarily to install the wifi driver. I downloaded the wifi driver for the board, but when I run the setup exe file nothing happens.
Any help is appreciated.
